CPS has had replace one sensor due to burnt pixels and banding. I know that burnt pixels are an issue with the 5d since Ive met a few people (including CPS Rep) that have the same issue. I had to test drive 3 5ds before i settled on one that was ok in terms of burnt pixels and banding at high ISO.
Ive also tried comparing a file from my 1ds against a file from my 5d and have found that the 1ds have more detail when zoomed in. Are my expectations a bit high? Or should the 5d be just as fine.Have other people from LS had any issue with burnt pixels or banding?
I saw a pixel map on the Canon site at one stage that had a pixels layouts for both the 5d and 1ds.Though the 5d has more pixels, the 1ds seems to produce more detail due to the distribution of the pixels and the way they are grouped.

For comparisons start here and toggle your way to the end. High ISO banding is mentioned as a con on the Conclusion page:
