access to Guinea/Conakry

I did it earlier this year, in April. I had to hire a car in Freetown, which was quite expensive ($400). You can also get a visa at the Guinea embassy in Freetown. Things were a bit calmer when I was there, not sure if it would be more difficult to get in right now, but already there was tons of roadblocks with military looking for bribes on the Guinea side all the way from the border to Conakry.
