Yes it was strange. But you know i came with a letter and an acreditation from a magazine in France. But it did not help , the girl did not wanted to see it.
She said that i was not a salary man from this magazine because of my press card
mentionned i’m freelance…

They dislike freelancers generally I think. It’s their own loss, if they want to keep us sweet, be nice to us. If they don’t want to be nice to us, don’t expect us to be nice to them. Not that the GPO was ever a great source, but for some ministerial things you just have to jump though the hoops.

There were cases of ISMers getting press cards back in the early 2000s, which was not good news for anyone concerned, but I’m not in favour of this blanket ban.
