580 Welsh Guards in Afghanistan. My name is Andrew Chittock and I am a free lance photographer based in west Wales. My old Regiment are deploying to Afghanistan for six months and I am planning to spend quite some time with the Battalion in Afghanistan photographing their tour of duty. I have done something similar, when the Welsh Guards were in Iraq have been to Afghanistan with the Royal Marines and also the Parachute Regiment so I am familiar with the situation and the dangers associated with photographing in a war zone. Also prior to Afghanistan I have been to Bosnia, Kosovo, Sierra Leone, Israel and Iraq.
