  <body>Back when we launched &quot;Airports&quot;:/airports we allowed members to submit new airport listings themselves, and things got a little messy. We've now cleaned these up; the IATA link next to your location should now be more accurate.

As always, when you're editing a Waypoint, you can specify your nearest airport by IATA code.  These are the three-letter codes used to identify airports, such as &lt;acronym title=&quot;Los Angeles International Airport&quot;&gt;LAX&lt;/acronym&gt;, &lt;acronym title=&quot;O'Hare International Airport&quot;&gt;ORD&lt;/acronym&gt;, or &lt;acronym title=&quot;LaGuardia International Airport&quot;&gt;LGA&lt;/acronym&gt;.

Tip: Certain metropolitan areas with multiple airports have group IATA codes -- for example, &quot;NYC&quot;. That way you don't have to pick a favorite.
