APPLE G4 MEMORY REPLACE????

One slot of memory on my G4 has crashed and now im only running off one 1gig.
Im wanting to replace the other dead 1G but dont know if its as easy as 1..2..3
Can i simply pull out the RAM and slip in the new one?
Im not really some place where I need want my computer spitting in my face and then dying.

You might want to preempt that, and just spit it in the face first. But yeah, otherwise it should be pretty straightforward. Just remove battery , pop the hood on your pb and with clean fingers and making sure not to touch the chip everywhere remove it. static is your enemy during this process, so discharge yourself or find an anti-static bracelet.
