Arctic Expedition

Am hoping to head back to the Arctic again soon and was looking for some advice on camera equipment. I have only taken a point and shoot in the past

If P&S worked for you then maybe you should stick with it. Otherwise, Canon 7D, 16-35mm f2.8L, 70-200mm f4.0L, 1/2 dozen extra batteries (depending on your charging facilities & length of time) and 1/2 dozen CF cards. That’d should cover it. Very general question so a general answer. Good luck with your trip.

My Namibian friend Paul van Schalkwyk is just on his way back from the South Pole now. He took Nikon DSLR gear, I can ask him to pass on any tips if you’re interested.
