Assistant Professor of Photography Drew University
Drew University, a highly selective liberal arts college located 30 miles outside New York City, invites applications for a tenure track assistant professor position in the art department with a specialty in Photography. An MFA and at least two years of college teaching are required. The successful candidate will have demonstrated potential as an excellent teacher, accomplishment and drive as an artist, fluency teaching on a PC Windows platform, administrative and administrative writing ability, and will be knowledgeable about the history and contemporary theory relevant to their practice. The teaching load consists of five four-credit courses per year, as well as a First Year Seminar on alternate years. Should have expertise in both black and white darkroom photography and digital photography, and first hand experience with alternative photographic processes.
