Back Pain & Belt Suggestions?
|
Hi all,
I’ve developed two compressed discs in my back (l3/l4 and l4/l5) which cause the whole lower right side of my body to be screwed up in pain. I’m currently using a Lowepro Nova 190AW shoulder bag which I need to stop using ASAP.
I’ve seen a lot of talk about belts…. anyone can recommend a belt for (light) gear (2-3 lenses + flash and accessories) for heavy travel and long walking? (working in east africa)
thanks!

i feel your pain, i use a combination of shoulder bags (messenger bag style) and waist bags.
this spreads the load, you will find that you will need to experiment with loads to find what is more comfortable for you.
the bags i use are not conventional camera bags but rather bags that are sold in hiking and adventure stores.
this means that it does not appear that i am carring kit which in itself has its advantages.
i have been supprised at the cost and quality on offer…
best of luck and hope the pain is sorted out in the end.

One word: ThinkTank
Their belt and pouch systems are really well designed and built and their customer service is excellent.

Ouch!!
I haven’t had recurring back pain since switching to Crumpler back packs. My latest one is disappointing though-not as strong, not as well thought out as the previous Crumpler bag I had, and broken already.
I’d go with Think Tank next time. I have one of their camera straps and it’s excellent.

Thanks everyone! Heard alot about ThinkTank- going to try it out!
