PARIS, France (CNN) — One person has been killed and another seriously injured in a parcel bomb explosion in central Paris, the French Interior Ministry has told CNN.
Policemen cordon off part of a street near the building where an explosive device was detonated.
Police said they are searching for a possible second explosive device.
The blast happened on the Boulevard Malesherbes in Paris’ 8th district near the Champs-Elysees.
It occured inside a law office, which was established by French President Nicolas Sarkozy, police said.
The building also contains an office for a foundation dedicated to the memory of the Holocaust.
The target of the blast is unclear.
