woke up totally hungover, but saw a few minutes of the debate, in between power failures and satelitte crashes.
hopefully we will make it back in time for nov 2. failing that, Christian and I have voter registration cards in afghanistan, which might tell you something about how well regulated their elections are going to be.

shiraz, merlot, cabernet, peroni, fosters, johnie walker,southern comfort, bushmills, etc… all cheaper than in new york…they’ve got some kind of contractor PX stores over here, everything’s duty free…it’s a long way from the last time I was here when smuggled cans of barely drinkable uzbek beer were going for $10 a pop. “Freedom is on the march”. let’s hope it doesn’t get too messy.
