China Visa
|
It’s a shame after being one of the CHIPP2007 gold award winner, I am refused to get the visa after trying 4th attempts with the original invitation letter from the China Photojournalists Society, air ticket and original hotel reservation papers.

Hi, Abir.
Could you be there later than tomorrow?
If you could try a travel agency as a tourist? or anyway you could still try there?
I know I could just throw words here and am totally useless.
regards,
youme.

Don’t say anything about going to China as a press….ask for tourist visa. Don’t say anything about doing ANYTHING with cameras or being a journalist.

Abir! Hope you still remember me! Like Youme said, try getting a tourist’s visa instead. it worked for me then. or better still, if you can, a student’s visa. it makes things a lot easier than telling them you’re from the press.

Hey Leonard, Of course I remember you. For my visa, I had applied as a tourist. The thing is that china government has restricted visa for photographers and journalists, I guess. Thank you for your mail. I am going to miss the award ceremony tomorrow…………
