I am wondering if there is anyone out there in our growing network of computer dependent workers who is upgrading their equipment and might be induced to donate old Macs or PCs to a small NGO working down here in the Dominican Republic which could really use them. Their administration of various programs directed toward helping people living in the "bateys" (sugar plantation communities) is seriously hobbled by the lack of good machinery, so I told them I would try to scare up some machines. I realize that there is not much incentive, other than a tax break, but I thought I might give it a whirl and ask all of you to consider it. I am not sure how the shipping would be arranged, but I am sure we can come up with something. Thanks.
