Covering Iowa Caucuses, Tips?

You aren’t going to be allowed to go to the caucuses themselves, media isn’t allowed. I’ve covered them before, what specifically do you want to know?

Thanks Brian, managed to get into at least one caucus and all of the campaign events, but got kicked out of Romney’s caucus night event. All other candidates, including the winner, Santorum, were pretty media friendly. Romney’s events were organized and run like invite-only business dinners.

Good that you got in to cover some stuff. The caucuses are fun to cover. I was assigned to the Bachmann after party, where everyone was expecting her to halt her campaign. Her campaign was not all that friendly to the media. Lots of hurdles and poor organization, but fun anyway.
