D70 NEF/RAW files, won't open in Nikon capture 4.1.0: Help
|
I’ve dropped my D1X, and as we all know they don’t bounce too well – well this one did but didn’t look too crash hot afterwards. I’ve been using Nikon Capture 4.1.0 to convert my D1X RAW files into 16 bit Tiff’s, it works a dream using the batch tool. I’ve had to borrow a D70 to get me by, but I can’t use the batch tool to convert the D70 RAW files into 16 bit Tiff’s. I can open the RAW files in capture one by one and convert them one by one, but they look like shit. I also have tried Photoshop CS and that won’t work, I have NEF plug-in loaded. Can anyone help with info on this matter,
cheers
Patrick

This error keeps coming up when using Photoshop CS to try and open my RAW/ NEF file.
“could not complete your request because an unexpected end-of-file was encounted” what the hell does that mean???

Hi Patrick.
Though you can’t open the NEF files in CS, I read about downloading a free DNG convertor from Adobe, then converting the NEF files to DNG and then apparently you can open them in CS.
http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=39&platform=Macintosh
Hopefully it helps.
