INFORMATION :: DAYS JAPAN International Photojournalism Award

To whom it may concern,
We are pleased to announce the DAYS JAPAN International Photojournalism Award.
In response to the burgeoning demand for quality reporting from the world’s many war fronts – conflicts claiming so many human lives today – we have launched monthly magazine DAYS JAPAN. The world-class photographers who contribute to our publication do their work at great peril, with many even risking their lives for a shot. However the photos are taken, we aim to tell the truth from the perspective of victimized civilians and not of those exercising authority through military power.

DAYS JAPAN would like to invite photographers and journalists, both professional and amateur, to participate in the DAYS JAPAN International Photojournalism Award 2004 contest. With this award, we hope to make a significant contribution to the development of photojournalism.
It will be the first world-class photojournalism award in Japan.
