Digital Mic Interference

Has anyone had issues with digital recorders causing a wireless PA system to malfunction. I am using an Olympus LS-10. The recorder has no noise issues and since it has not motor I can’t see how it can interfere with a PA system. Just get some dirty looks when their stuff malfunctions.

Is this a battery-operated recorder? If so, it’s highly unlikely. It probably even has an FCC statement on it that says that it will not cause interference. As a recorder, it has no transmitter of any kind, so more than likely, the problem is something else, like someone’s WiFi in their laptop.

If, on the other hand, you’re plugging in to their power, they might have a ground loop:
