Do you know this man? Please help the investigations on the killing of photoreporter Fabio Polenghi
|
Two years ago today, my friend Fabio Polenghi was killed in Thailand while photographing a red shirt protests.
The Metropolitan Police Bureau has concluded that the death of Fabio resulted from the actions of government officials. There will be a process.
Right after he was shot, someone dressed as a reporter took his camera. Reporters often do know each other, but no one seems to know him.
Isa Polenghi, Fabio’s sister, is trying to contact this man, not to accuse him of taking the camera but only to know what are the last pics taken by Fabio right before being shot to death. If this man is a reporter, he might be willing to give his testimony.
Please find the pictures of the man Isa is looking for on this page http://www.fabiopolenghi.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=76:who-is-this-man&catid=2:news&Itemid=2

reposted to my network on Facebook, best of luck finding him
|
We are all still searching for this man Enzo – was shooting on May 19th 2010 in Bangkok too but that morning was at Din Daeng intersection. Saw Fabio’s sister yesterday too. Will keep up the search…but personally i don’t believe that guy was a reporter/press. I’ve been based in Bangkok for 9 years and never seen him at any press events or anywhere else.
|
I have tweeted the page through, maybe it will bring up something…
Peace
|
I just tweeted, too. I hope the man is found. Good luck!
|
Popped this on my Facebook a few days ago… maybe someone in my group of friends will recognize the face. Same here, I was there May 2010 and don’t remember any press guy resembling the man in the picture.
I’ll look through my old footage to see if he’s in there.
Are those the highest resolution pictures you have?
|
Thank you everyone for your support.
@Humphrey Cheung No, Fabio’s sister has higher resolutions.
If you have news you can contact directly Fabio’s sister through the blog http://www.fabiopolenghi.org/
