In March’s In the Picture Ed Kashi will delve into his experiences as a photojournalist, focusing on his work in the Niger Delta.
From 2004 to 2009 Ed Kashi spent 5 months in Nigeria documenting the impact of the extraction of the Niger Delta’s oil on its local population. He and his local fixer were illegally detained by the Nigerian military for 4 days in 2006.
This talk will be moderated by Sean O’Hagan, senior feature writer at the Observer and photography columnist for the Guardian.
