Editorial Contact phone numbers

Ok, I need some phone numbers that I am having trouble pinning down for the following publications:

Village Voice: photo desk, Staci Schwartz:????
Stern Magazine: either their photo desk or one of the freelance "gatekeepers" that promoto story ideas to them
NY Times Magazine:  magazine or the picture desk.
Foreign Policy: their website is down today, so I cant get the number there.
Mens Journal: photo or story editor

Any help would be appreciated.

He will be able to help you with Stern magazine…….cheers, bob

Hi Ali, yes I saw it and wanted to follow up with phone call.  Remember these editors are busy busy busy, and I am certain that Staci (a woman btw) has her hands full.  My policy so far has been to send editors the story pitch with a pdf file, and then follow up with a  phone call to check on the progress and see if they are interested.  This way one is not too importunate, you give them some time to look things over, but you also push a little, gently.  You would think that if they were interested you wouldnt have to call — they would call you.  And they do.  But that is not always the case.  They have competing demands, and sometimes more pressing matters crowd out a good story proposal that might, somewhere down the line, be acted on.  So you have to remind them that you are there and explore the possibility of collaborating in the near future..  And then, if you get a definite no, you can just scratch them off the list and move to the next candidate.  Seems a fair enough way to do things.  ANyway, I am not in NYC so I have to do this stuff by long distance.

Thanks Mark, Colin — I just saw your posts as this one went to "press".
