Egypt - risk

Morning lightstalkers,

in January I will be on my way to Egypt for a reportage.I have a fixer et cetera. We are going to be a group of four people. Do you think there is a real risk for us after Al-Zawahri statement “let’s kidnap some westerners to complete the revolution”? For who is in the field, right now, what’s the atmosphere?

It’s fine, kidnapping isn’t really big here. Robberies are up, and sexual harassment, but it’s still a safe country. There are a few villages I wouldn’t want to visit at night unless I was with a local, but don’t let that put you off.
