I will be doing research in Kyrgyzstan from November 1 to 18. The research will be focused on the rights of ethnic Uzbeks in the city of Osh. I will be talking to number of sources, ranging from government officials to local leaders of cultural organizations as well as people in streets. The research will be used in an academic paper, but might also be used in journalistic articles of some kind (if I have the time).
For that I need to find a reliable interpreter and fixer in Osh, who can speak both Kyrgyz and Russian – and preferably Uzbek, too. It needs to be a person who can communicate openly with both Uzbeks and Kyrgyz.
Many thanks for any help you can give me :-)
