fixer/researcher for doc film in China

Chinese speaking researcher(s) with journalistic and/or documentary filmmaking background needed for a feature documentary on environmental and human rights issues.

Preferably from Guangdong area + Inner Mongolia

Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Finding characters
- Organising filming of key characters and locations
- Identifying potential story aspects
- Thoroughly investigating background facts
- Writing clear briefs and treatments to deadlines
- Helping crew while shooting (translation, organizing etc.)

You should be extremely reliable, very organized and have excellent communication (also in English or German) and interpersonal skills.

Experience with environmental and/or human rights is a plus as well as investigative journalism skills and/or experience in documentary filmmaking. You should be able to think outside the box in terms of visual metaphors and research strategies.

The research shooting will take place for about two weeks this fall. Intense research need to be conducted beforehand.
