Who You Are:

Commercial Photographers Representative, you have at least 5-7 years experience representing Photographers to the Commercial Advertising Market. You have solid understanding of commercial photography, production, communicating with clients regarding photographers work, interpreting client briefs and layouts, negotiating, creating estimates as well as working with outside producers on assignments. You should have solid relationships within the Advertising Community.

You will be responsible for both inbound and outbound sales calls and increasing prospective revenue opportunities and achieving assigned sales quota.

You will identify potential revenue opportunities through aggressive outbound marketing and sales efforts that focus on the development of existing and new Agency relationships. You will be responsible for maintaining strong photographer relations, organizing and executing Agency Presentations and sales trips and marketing of represented photographers and the Agency as a whole.

You will be directly involved with all customer-facing sales/marketing development initiatives and will be one of the highest-level customer-facing salespersons on the sales team. You will be involved in talent selection and recruitment, client negotiations, pricing agreements and the request for proposal process. You will work collaboratively with peers to ensure consistency in business planning, sales management, and achievement of revenue goals.

Responsibilities:

Quickly and skillfully handles customer inquiries/requests for film footage including savvy price negotiation and value selling, processing the sales in SOP system, and delivering individual sales data daily to manager.

Understands all office/administrative procedures including credit applications, auditing, accounting/invoicing procedures, chargeback policies, rights control, post production, project management and global search, image guarantee and R&C, shipping procedures, etc.

Consistently and regularly follows up on pending jobs and maintains relationships in the assigned customer base through frequent phone contact and in face-to-face client visits.

Stays on top of slumping customers & seeks new customers/prospects from attending industry functions, obtaining leads from existing customers, and working collaboratively with the outbound team to increase customer base.

Promotes GYI additional services and new content to targeted customers and facilitates new sales.

Understands and is able to communicate overview of company products, creative services, new technologies, policies and procedures to new customers.

Takes on assigned initiatives that help our team adjust and keep up with our constantly changing environment (team morale events, training, project teams, attend & research trade events, etc.).

Qualifications:

Bachelor degree preferred.

2 – 3 years prior experience in negotiating strategic and large volume sales, including all phases of sales development: prospecting, proposal development, negotiation and account management, with an industry-related focus preferred. (stock film footage, commercial film production, advertising, internet technologies)

Basic computer literacy. (Internet, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

Demonstrated ability to make successful presentations to individuals and/or groups at all levels of an organization, representing Getty Images in a professional and confident manner.

Strong customer service & sales skills, listening skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships via telephone.

Ability to be agile, remain focused and make smart decisions in a rapidly changing, often ambiguous environment.

A strong interest or proven talent in conveying concepts with creative imagery.
