I just started using Gmail in Barcelona recently and found it only works on the latest and greatest browsers. Even on my laptop, it works best with firefox, OK with Safari, but doesn’t work at all with the Explorer that came installed. So at an interent cafe, there might be only one terminal where you can check Gmail. Anyone else have this experience?

Yeah, I can’t use it with my crazy Opera (falsetto browser) because I don’t have some real security-risk, highly vulnerable plug-in (Active X) active. However, once they finish their Beta testing, perhaps they’ll have sorted out these things & revamp?

Until this thread, never heard of GMAIL, but reading about it on Google, and it sounds pretty nifty.

Derek, I’m curious, where you at an internet Cafe in Barcelona when you tried to access the GMAIL, or just on your laptop at an internet cafe? Where you at Easycomputing, or other internet shop in Barcelona?
