Got Pixels?

Hasselblad Introduces its New 39 Megapixel H2D-39 Digital Camera
And just when 12 megapixel cameras were starting to become all the news

Hasselblad’s new H2D-39 D-SLR is the first true 39 megapixel digital camera in the world. It is based on Hasselblad’s existing H2 digital camera and is compatible with the company’s H System lenses and V camera lenses.

Got Cash is more like it.

Am I reading it correctly that a body and back will set you back 65 grand? Or is it inclusive for 32K? It would probably cost 3K per day just to rent the damn thing.

Though I guess that equates to only about 2 1/2 years of rent for a decent one bedroom in Brooklyn these days. A bargain really.

Just think of how large the files would be, thats almost too much. They would be in upwards of 20mb.

$32K buys camera and back, $29K for the back only (available to fit 503CWs and other blad bodies). 39 megapixel chip is latest from Kodak. The chip will show up in lot of “backs” soon.
