Great site to send files
|
Hello everybody
www.yousendit.com
it’s a great site to send big files (up to 1 G) to someone but indirectly so that you don’t get people nuts downloading e-mails. You send the file to the site and the site keeps it and send a mail to the one that has to get the file. He can then go and pick it up when he wants.
I guess it’s not very clearly explained but if you go to the site you’ll get it.
Cheers

hey, good to hear you…..just one concern about this. you say the site keeps the file, so does that mean that it ends up on the sites server, or is it deleted after it’s downloaded????

Right now they say the file will be available for 7 days.
There are a bunch of sites doing this now, like www.leapfile.com and www.sendthisfile.com. As far as I know, YouSendIt can handle the largest files, and is the most free. They also have a pretty good TOS.
Personally, I’m don’t see how they can afford to do this. It looks like they’re going for advertising revenue, but I can’t imagine enough revenue on a per-transaction basis to offset the cost of 2gigs minimum in bandwidth. So get while the gettin’s good…
