Getting and Keeping Health Insurance
Tuesday, December 18th at 6pm
Presented by the Health Insurance Resource Center (AHIRC) at The Actors Fund
This workshop will focus on health care and health insurance options for performing and visual artists in the New York City metro area. The aim to give those in our community a firm grounding in health insurance basics, a comprehensive overview of options in our area, and a better ability to make health care coverage related decisions. We’ll review employment-related plans, direct purchase plans, government-subsidized programs, and city-sponsored programs like Artists Access. There will be a Q& A period at the end of the workshop.

The workshop will be led by Renate Marinaro, Manager of Special Projects at the Health Insurance Resource Center (AHIRC) at The Actors Fund. AHIRC connects artists, craftspeople and entertainers to health insurance and affordable health care, The Actors Fund is a national, non-profit organization that provides for the social welfare of all entertainment professionals.
