HELP : 580EX + Multimax

Hello,

Is the 580EX by Canon capable of being fired by RF using PocketWizard Multimax? Or do you need two Multimax for it to work? One as Transmitter & the other being Receiver.

What I have in mind is this:

1 Pocketwizard Multimax (hoping this could pop the flash remotely right away)
1 580EX

Or is it this way: (which is more applicable)
1 Pocketwizard Plus (transmitter)
1 Pocketwizard Plus (receiver, attached to the flash unit)
1 580EX

PS : the Canon STE2 is out of the question here :)
