iCal feed fixed in Tiger
|
Hey everyone, finally got the Lightstalkers iCal feed to work in Tiger. If you had trouble with this, try removing your old subscription and creating a new one.
(If you haven’t seen this already, check it out; it works in both iCal and Mozilla. Any Lightstalkers item can be marked with a date, and subsequently will automatically show up in your calendar software. Try using it to announce shows, grant deadlines, and that sort of thing…)

hey Shinji
i copied just as u said and sorry to say but it dont work???
webcal://www.lightstalkers.org/lightstalkers.ics
Funny thing is i had it working before and now i don’t recall what i did.
|
Ah, sorry, there was a broken link in my post here. Try again, using the iCal link on the home page — should work fine!
|
Frankly, I don’t see where the link is?
|
Oh — it’s right next to "Upcoming Events". Yeah?
|
Well now I feel really stupid!!!
I don’t see anything that says Upcoming Events and the only link I have is
http://www.lightstalkers.org/calendar.cfm
and that gets refused by iCal
am i a fool?
|
Oh, I see — you’re looking at the Calendar page, I was thinking of the home page. Anyway, there should have been a link on the Calendar page anyway, so I’ve added it. If you reload the Calendar page it should have a link right under the title…
|
Shinji
OK! I solved it! t was my bad for not seeing Upcoming Events on the home page.
But… the link you put on the Calendar page is different and does not work for iCal.
On the Home page you have the correct link (webcal://www.lightstalkers.org/LS.ics)
but on the Calendar page you have (webcal:%23cgi.server_name%23/%23application.db%23.ics)
and it’s refused by iCal as not valid.
Many thanks for your partience.

Oh right — ok, that’s fixed. Thanks man.
