Hi Ludivine — I was there with Kavita, during the monsoon , but many years ago — I think not much chance of finding the negatives at this point.
It was surprisingly not-so-rainy. The locals seemed to think due to global warming….
|
Thank you Teru,
Any chance Kavita has any pics?….. I’ll ask her later.
I can’t find anything on it at all!!! Apparently it rained only 8.90 m this year, wich is a 20% less than usual year….
Thanks for you reply,
Ludivine

hi Ludivine — I think Kavita is on the road, maybe in India right now, so I doubt she can get to any photos either.

Hi,
Yes, Cherapunji is ’ the wettest place on this earth’ and the reason I cancelled my trip to this north east town is because this year, Mumbai city, where I live, got a rainfall in a span of 3 days, that has broken a record of last 100 years, and beaten the record that Cherapunji holds for an entire year. (Yes, this has been the most ‘wet’ season ).
So the Cherapunji story will have to hold , for me, I guess.
