InkCartridge Recycle

Anybody know what to do with used ink-jet printer cartridges? I keep accumulating the suckers and feel they must be pretty environmentaly unfriendly to just trash.

take all your cartridges, batteries, etc. to Staples in Union Sq. They have a few bins right be the front door. Also Kinkos hands out free mailers for small cartridges.
