Insurance for equipment?

Hello,

I am looking for a worldwide insurance to cover my photo equipment which is not linked to nationality or residency. I am Italian national, resident in Bosnia and often traveling to other countries. I am not a member of any professional association. I am basically looking for an insurance to cover my photo equipment wherever I am and that is not linked to the house insurance etc. I try to google without success. Any advise?

You shoud join to NPPA.org. It is not necesary be an american photographer and they have a good alliance with an Insurance Company with programs designed for photojournalist.

I joined apa national and bought insurance from them for relatively cheap i pay $165 a/year and am covered for $7000 on personal equipment and roughly $30,000 on rented…with a deductible of $100.

I’m also looking for insurance for my video camera, digital camera and laptop.

I checked with NPPA, and I need a US home address for their equipment insurance.

I’m based in Bangkok…Does anyone have any suggestions for a worldwide policy?

I’ve looked into tenant insurance in Bangkok, and didn’t have any luck.
