inviting a new person?

I had the same problem yeasterday…

On the message boards, the “Add” field which appears under the list of “people in my cirlce”is an abbreviation for “add to my circle” as opposed to “add to lightstalkers.org” I believe. It is not mean to be used to invite outside people to join as members.

I think the e-mail search function is to help us make sure that the person we want to invite isn’t already a member. So first, we do a search using their e-mail address. Then, if they are not found in the membership list, then we are given the opportunity to send them an invitation. You’ll notice that in the “person not found” message, the option to send an invitiation to someone appears in the right hand side of the window.

At least that’s my interpretation of the architecture. Hope it makes sense.

Oops, sorry guys. Retsu, you’re right on with that, but I have actually disabled the “invite” tool temporarily, so I can fix a couple things. When it’s back up, it’ll be better than ever, and that should be in the next day or two. I’ll post here when that’s done!

FYI, when a person you invite registers with LS, you’ll automatically show up on each other’s Contact Lists… good times!
