Japanese War Tourism

A Japanese colleague of mine from the group syndicate sent me this link, he quote Lightstalkers in his comment.

Our subsequent conversation over Skype revealed he was pretty angry because this appears to be a trend in Japanese photography circles over the past decade or so.

The short of it in this article of a Japanese truck driver who travels to hostile areas to shoot pictures like a combat photographer, only he does not sell the images to a media outlet, but rather keeps the images for himself.

I for one, am glad to be out of having to worry about such things anymore as I do not do combat or hostile/volatile shooting conditions anymore. Hell, I don’t even bother with DC protests yet alone combat, but thought I’d post the link and open up a discussion among the field.
