Lara Logan on the State of Al Qaeda...

CBS News correspondent Lara Logan delivers a blistering critique of US assertions about the state of al Qaeda in Afghanistan.

“…What we had to do was to set about investigating it to discover what was the truth, and we had to be very careful about that because there is a distinction between investigating something to find out what the real situation is, and trying to prove something is true. And those are two very different things… and the second one is a very dangerous thing… and it is the enemy of journalism.”

Nice speech. but Lara Logan has somewhat dubious credibility on the topic of unfiltered reporting.
