Lebanon Community Media website

This is from an email a friend Rebecca Murray forwarded to me regarding Lebanon from Diana Allen):

“i’ve set up an initiative to create a community media website for lebanon — and have been collecting digi camera and mini dv recorders to distribute to affected communities. have
around 50 now.

the idea is to create a visual hub to which people can upload podcasts, foto-roman style diaries, and so on — a sustained looked at the long term effects of the conflict.

we hope to get a wide range of perspectives – fishermen in tyre, cab drivers in dahiyeh, a farmer in marwaheen, palestinian volunteers in saida, a park attendant in sanayeh, and so on. should be an interesting mix.

check out the website and tell EVERYONE YOU KNOW ABOUT IT. i am trying to raise seeds funds for it, and bankrollin this at this at the moment which is totally unfeasible.
we have set up paypal so i am hopeful that someone will donate something at some point.

i am also trying to approach foundations and was wondering whether you would have ideas about grants for film/photographic activist projects?
