You could try using the Getty pricing calculator (or other agencies) for a similar image on their website to get you in the ballpark for the UK as per this example:

…and re-calculate a price for the other LP editions/circulations around the world. Also just ask LP and similar magazines what they are willing to pay. It could be much higher than a stock agency.

The Sarge has a good idea and would also suggest you go to photoshelter and find a similar image——I don’t mean the sameish shot but, assuming its travel and a shot of a lake with a mountain and villages in the disance——whatever—-most photoshelter websites have a price calculator you will enter when you are “buying an image” and it covers all the things you would have to tick off, circulation time, market, blah, blah, blah—-in fact I would go to a few of them as they could be different and start out from there. You might look at photshelter as a website for yourself while you are there as it eliminates what you are having to do now which putting time into getting a cost out—-so hopefully you make some contacts there and you can sell more—-

PS—-Curious how did they came across your shot?—-Also, when I am contacted by mags for photos they usually have an amount in mind and then I say yes or no.

my experience at alamy.com with circulation more than 10,000 and cover 3/4 around 250 USD. IMHO.

I’ve shot some work for their guide books and their fees are usually on the lower end of the scale. Not too low as to be completely unreasonable but below average for similar publications.
