Looking for a film scanner in DC
|
Hello,
DC/ Baltimore is my area, and I am trying to scan a bunch of old slides and negs. I tried the custom scan service at the premier DC lab and the results were a bummer.
I believe I am looking for a Nikon Coolscan V and up, though I have questions about Snow Leopard/ third party drivers/ etc.
Hope you are well,
g

Gilby, since you are including Baltimore as your area, I looked up one of the labs I have used in the past in Baltimore. They have done scanning for me in the past, but I don`t know their capability at the moment.

Not sure if by the premier DC lab you are referring to Chrome.
If not:

Thank you, both. I was referring to Chrome (cough), but perhaps they were having a bad day.

Well, I know that Chrome would be mortified if someone went away feeling the way you do. I would be totally blown away if they did not do the job over for free until it met your reasonable expectations. They do have very high standards, and I have never been disappointed (no, I have no personal or financial interest in their operation).
