Looking for photo essay on global water issues
|
Public Radio International’s America Abroad, a monthly documentary show on international affairs, is seeking a photo essay or other visual content for its website, related to its upcoming show about global water issues. To that end, we’re hoping to find a photographer or media producer to put together a photo essay or other multimedia content (video, etc.) to be featured on our website.
Here’s a working summary of the program: As the world’s population grows, so does the demand for the world’s most precious commodity: water. Only about one percent of the world’s water is fresh and drinkable, and in much of the world, it’s growing more and more scarce.
We’re seeking a real sense of place and detailed stories with subject names and two or three sentence descriptions of what a viewer will be seeing. Rates are negotiable dependent on experience, and we have resources in-house to do post-production on video content. The deadline for an accepted project will be Wednesday, May 31st.
Thank you for your ideas! Please email with any questions or for further details to jbarrera@americaabroadmedia.org.
