Richly deserved… Burn is a terrific, thought provoking site and an incredible community to boot. Congrats to DAH and everyone else who makes it happen.
Nice….
Did David wear a tux?
Absolutely, great site, and a visionary mind in DAH.
Lisa, I rented a tux just to view the website.
Nice.. go David and Anton and all the other that contribute…
Just BURNing down DAH house, boys and girls…I have no idea what that means…
I’m renting a tux so I can see Barry’s post……….. and I don’t care if Barry doesn’t care
I don’t know about you Imants but I had never rented a tux before. It made everything thing seem very important.
Has Barry posted a reply yet?
Hello, I must be going. I came to say, “I’d like to stay,” but, I really must be going.
Congratulations to David Alan Harvey, BURN and the team. There is nothing quite like it – it’s one of a kind. Fantastic! Well done! : )
What is a Lucie award anyway? Is that something from High Times?
Burn’s award is a great step forward for online publications and a testament to the community he has facilitated. The future is bright.
What I like about Burn most is the lack of dogma, you never know what will appear, but you can often count on it pushing one’s sensibilities of photography. A once a week indulgence for me.
My guilty pleasure is finding the Jim Powers rants in the commentary….

Oh, I thought the Lucie award was for anthropological photographs of Hominids.
Just kidding of course Barry. Its really not much of an inside joke..
Well, perhaps the Hominid joke is a bit esoteric. For those who don’t know:Australopithecus afarensis is an extinct hominid which lived between 3.9 and 2.9 million years ago. The most famous fossil is the partial skeleton named Lucy by Donald Johanson and colleagues, after they played the Beatles song Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds over and over in celebration of their find.
Yes, Barry that is esoteric….but that would be Ira Block and not Harvey.
