Magnum Expression Photo Award: $10,000 prize

The Magnum Expression Photo Award is now accepting submissions on the topic of “Communities.”

The top prize is $10,000 and an HPZ3200 printer, and work is judged by:

- Alec Soth
- Louis Kim

hi.

i’m a bit new to the whole photo competition thing, actually this will be the first one i would have entered. the thing is i really want to enter, but i’m a bit confused about the requirements.

i had a look at the website, but is it a photo essay, or is it an essay accompanied by photos. (ie. do i write an essay and have photos with it, or is it 8 – 15 photos?)

in the submission requirements bit of the web page, it says that that you need to submit the photos to illustrate the essay. so i’m a tad confused.
