Mexico City Hotels during Foundry PhotoJ. Workshop
|
Hi all- Just signed on for the Foundry Photojournalism Workshop in Mexico City in June. I understand information on hotels, etc. will be forthcoming, but I am wondering if anyone has some ideas on inexpensive yet secure places to stay for a few weeks. Homestays with families are usually a very good deal if someone here knows about any. I don’t know if the location for the workshop has been confirmed yet, and Mexico City is, well, a big burg. Right now I’m just doing some preliminary scouting.

Hello Skippy,
Welcome… I will be teaching a workshop. One of the hotels I suggested to Eric was http://www.hotelmariacristina.com.mx as possibly many of the classes might be held at a nearby photo school. I would wait though as the details are still being ironed out, locations are still not confirmed.
Cheers,
Adam

Adam is spot on. thanks for responding mate.. right now we are looking at 2 different locations for the workshop, both in different neighborhoods. Both have inexpensive hotels and hostels nearby- Im talking on average between US $20 and $30 a night for a double. We’ll let you know as soon as we can. Generally, you wont have to worry too much about finding cheap lodging in the DF.
Workshop slots are filling up, but there is still plenty of room left.
