Mobile (cell) Phone for Europe & UK

I need to get a GSM phone for UK and France. I already have a great Treo but its not a GSM. Are prepaid GSM phones available in the USA? I’ll only need it for 15 days. If you have a great service provider here in the US that sells prepaid GSM I would like to hear from you.

There are several places in the USA that sell unlocked GSM phones over the Internet. I have purchased a phone and cards for UK, Spain and Morrocco from them. Unfortunately I am not at home and am on someone else’s computer, so I don’t have my bookmarks. If someone doesn’t respond with some names soon, I will when I get back on Monday. If I have a minute to search before then I will pass them on.

If you have a Treo and it’s not GSM, I guess you are with a CDMA carrier like Sprint or Verizon. Both have rental programs for overseas travel. If you’re going to go there frequently, I’d just buy an unlocked tri-band phone.
