Need Help in Developing Protective Equipment for Journalists in Conflict Zones

Hi all,

My name is Yudhi Hartono and I am a fourth year Industrial design student in University of New South Wales. Currently I am working on my final project where I have to propose a fully resolved product for a market of my choice. At the end of the project, I have to have a product concept that is ready for production. I decided to do a project on protective equipments for journalists who work in conflict zones. I chose this area because I have an interest in this area. I am a photographer as well and I used to have a dream of being a photojournalist. I have read many books and watched documentaries about the experience of journalists in war zones. Therefore I have a deep admiration to them as they risk their own safety to tell the rest of the world about sufferings in humanity that is often ignored.

Anyway, I am just wondering if any of you will be able to help me out? I need have a chat with people from the profession to get an insight of what they think the current problems are and what they really need in order to feel safe and be able to perform their tasks efficiently at the same time.
