Hey folks — today our network provider experienced some network problems which caused downtime for Lightstalkers. They’ve assured me that it’s in order now and we seem to be back in business.
In general, I want to let you know that we’re aware of the hiccups you get when using the site. We’ve worked hard to optimize and troubleshoot the code. Unfortunately, the remaining issues are largely memory- and CPU-dependent. At this point, the only thing to do is spend money on better hardware.
Because we want this site to stay free and independent, that means asking you for your support and help. We plan to launch a fund-raising campaign this week, which will give you the opportunity to pitch in. In the meantime, as always, thanks for your patience and feedback!
