new books worth taking a look at

There’s a general thread for war coverage books here, but i’m curious to hear what other lightstalkers are getting their claws on these days…

here’s some of the stuff i recently came across…

scene of the crime, photographs from the LAPD archive, abrams, isbn 0-8109-5002-2

Lise Sarfati, la vie nouvelle – the new life, twin palms, isbn 1-931885-45-1

Jeff Wall, catalogue raisonne 1978-2004, steidl, isbn 3-865211-36-4 – expensive, and i don’t like the printing as much as the 2002 Hasselblad catalogue, but definitely worth a look at nonetheless…

in the more journo side, there’s also antonin kratochvil’s vanishing, de-mo, isbn 0-970576-83-8…
