Dear Photographer:
Adventure is working on a story about the evolution of the international aid effort – groups like the Peace Corps, Red Cross, Medecins Sans Frontieres, etc. – basically agencies/groups that coordinate putting Westerner in areas of need around the world.
We need images that show these volunteers with a sense of accomplishment, that they feel are changing the world, making a difference – exhausted but happy works too.
We need images that show positive interactions between these volunteers and the locals they are trying to help around the world. Older images, particularly from the 1960s and 70s – and even older/vintage shots, would be good to see.
Please feel free to recommend people you know who may have pictures as well.
We are able to view digital or online submissions, but prefer original 35 mm slides and prints. Please call for a messenger if in New York or use our shipper: UPS – A2778F OR Fedex – 2365 72056. Please send to my attention by Tuesday, 2/8/2005. Please call with any questions, or if you need more time. Please reference story no. MA3064 in your submission.
Thank You!
