Nikon D800 Availabilty

For those in the US who have been waiting for the D800 (or waiting to order it until the bugs have been worked out), it looks like it is shipping again.

I placed an order through Amazon.com on August 16, and then got an acknowledgement that it would be shipped on August 20. But it was in fact shipped the next day, on August 17, and arrived at my shipping address on Monday, August 20.

So if you are ready to order (having saved enough pennies to be able to afford it — I had to wait until I was paid by some clients), it looks like an order now will get you the camera in short order.
