NYC Oct 17-26th: In need of an affordable base-camp

I am coming east from Colorado to meet with some editors and to catch some of the Photo Plus Expo, and I am in need of an affordable and convenient place to stay in NYC from October 17th till the 26th. I will not be there every night, but it would be great to have a consistent base-camp for the duration for this extended trip.
